CWLA is a forum for women to combine their business, community,
political involvement and leadership experiences. Our membership is
comprised of men and women business owners and executives, current
and former appointees and elected officials, as well as, current
and former staff to legislators at the local, regional, state and
federal levels. Our members are serving locally on city councils,
school boards or water districts, state-wide in the California
Assembly or Senate or in the U.S. Congress. In addition we have
many community participants and activists. We are proud that more
than 30% of our members are men.
CWLA believes in free market principles that emphasize:
* Smaller government and the role of government as a facilitator,
not a regulator
* Individual freedom
* Responsibility and accountability
* Economic growth through lower taxes and entrepreneurship
