advocating on behalf of businesses and organizations seeking to
reduce regulation or promote pro-business policies. CWLA also
actively tracks legislation and local initiatives that may impact
our individual and corporate members. As a member you will receive
email newsletters and updates on timely legislative issues, and
access to timely information on local, state, and federal
elections.
* Membership Programs & Events. All-member meetings and
special events feature prominent elected officials and community
leaders who share insights into current events, politics, and
important public policy issues. Members attend such events at a
discounted cost. Corporate sponsors gain greater visibility through
branding and speaking opportunities at such local events, or may
gain statewide visibility through statewide conventions/events.
* Political Training & Special Workshops. CWLA is a
sponsor of the prestigious Marian Bergeson Excellence in Public
Service Leadership Series, a nine-month political education program
that trains a select group of women to pursue elected or appointed
office. CWLA also hosts periodic workshops on topics such as
fundraising and media training to assist women interested in
running for office.
* Networking. Membership meetings and events provide
individuals and businesses the opportunity to meet like-minded
business people who actively participate in politics. Your
membership includes the publication of your name and/or company in
CWLA’s membership directory which is distributed statewide.
